Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
